Job Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to serve in a flex position at Oak Crossing, our Long-Term Care facility in Detroit Lakes. While most night shifts, this position will involve some day and evening shifts as well. A new schedule is assigned every 6 weeks, and this employee is able to decline 2 shifts per schedule. In addition to base pay that is commensurate with experience, there is additional premium pay of $5 hourly for an RN or $3 hourly for an LPN. Additional shift differentials and charge paryare available as well. LPN: A care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of primarily elderly patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Works both cooperatively and independently, to work efficiently under stress. RN: Responsible for organizing and providing care to residents through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

- Education as required for licensure.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota nursing license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.

The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
