Job Description:

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

The Birthplaceis a 12-bed, private room, labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum unit that includes a nursery staffed by obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians,neonatologistsand registered nurses. The Unit also has a 2 bed triage and 6 bed postpartum area. Registered nurses are required to demonstrate competent care of the patient in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn advanced fetal monitoring, breastfeeding education, neonatal resuscitation certification, advanced life support certification, and the OR scrub and circulating roles.

Minimum Requirements:

Current Massachusetts RN license; BSN Preferred
Labor and Delivery experience required
Mother/Baby or postpartum experience required
AHABLSandACLScertifications required upon hire
NRPrequired
Documentation of AWHONNFetal Monitoring Course orNCCEFM certification required within 3 months.

Recommended Requirements:

OR Circulating & Scrub experience preferred
Experience working in continuing care/special care nursery/NICUenvironment preferred
