Job DescriptionMelroseWakefield Healthcare is hiring a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our passionate team of caregivers in north suburban Boston. Our DAISY award-winning team offers a shared-governance model, a professional RN development program, tuition reimbursement and much more.
38 bed Med Surge/Tele Unit
This unit cares primarily for adult acute care patients who have a wide variety of diagnosis and co-morbidities. Patients can be medical or post-surgical. The most common medical diagnoses are pneumonia, UTI, COPD, GI/GU, chest pain and syncope, with the most common surgical patients being orthopedic, GI/GU/GYN and general. These patients can require telemetry monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care to patients and their families.
- Assess, plan, and evaluate care for a complex patient population.
- Respond to a full range of health and illnesses.
- Adhere to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
- Candidates without bachelor’s degree in nursing will be considered but must be enrolled in Baccalaureate program within 1 year of hire.
- Valid Massachusetts RN license.
- CPR.
- ACLS Certification preferred upon hired but required within 6 months of hire.
- Training is provided
