Responsible for providing nursing care to patients and education to families in their homes; coordinates activities with other community and Agency staff and carries out special activities on assignment. Provide quality care to patients and their families. Assess, plan, and evaluate care for a complex patient population. Respond to a full range of health and illnesses. Adhere to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations.

Job Description28 Bed Telemetry Unit.
- This unit cares primarily for cardiac patients in need of cardiac catheterizations, post STEMI/angioplasty, NSTEMI, post pacemaker insertion, CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, and other cardiac arrhythmias, along with hyper/hypotensive patients not meeting ICU admission criteria.
- Neurological, renal, GI and patients withdrawing from substance abuse are also placed on this floor.
- Patients can be on high flow oxygen, continuous bipap, with continuous oxygen saturation monitoring.
- Patients transferring out of ICU are often cared for on this floor as well.
- The nurse patient ratio is less than on the med/surg floors, allowing for patient to be more closely monitored.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care to patients and their families.
- Assess, plan, and evaluate care for a complex patient population.
- Respond to a full range of health and illnesses.
- Adhere to the Board of Registration in Nursing rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
- Candidates without bachelor’s degree in nursing will be considered but must be enrolled in Baccalaureate program within 1 year of hire.
- Valid Massachusetts RN license.
- CPR, IV and ACLS certification.
