About The Team The pediatric critical care service at Atlantic Health System Children's Health provides comprehensive medical care to children, from infants to young adults, with acute life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The Joan and Edward Foley Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Goryeb Children's Hospital at Morristown Medical Center is a 15-bed unit where children stay for postoperative management after major pediatric surgical procedures, including neurosurgical, trauma and orthopedic procedures. All pediatric medical and surgical specialties at our children's hospital are available for consultation in the PICU. The critical care team of the PICU is made up of a team of caregivers from various specialties to provide your child with the best possible care. Our pediatricians and physicians are board-certified in pediatric critical care and provide 24-hour coverage. They have advanced medical training and extensive experience, which allows them to administer the unique medical care that children in a PICU require.
