Summary

The Registered Nurse II – Dermatology role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.

Residents work alongside experienced preceptors gaining exposure to the unit specialty while building strong clinical skills. The Registered Nurse - New Graduate - Acute Care role is working progressively towards competency and independence in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The New Graduate Program is intended to support the new graduate nurse in making the transition from student to competent clinical practitioner.
