We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to join our interdisciplinary team, providing medical support and advocacy for program participants. This role includes medication administration, first aid/emergency care, medical record maintenance, and participant education. The position also supports staff training, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes participant health and safety in accordance with agency policy and HIPAA guidelines.
Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and document medications accurately, maintaining proper identification and pharmacy procedures.
Provide first aid and coordinate emergency care, including CPR and Narcan administration.
Maintain up-to-date health records, assessments, and medical inventory.
Collaborate with treatment teams and communicate participant medical updates.
Facilitate health-related group sessions and support participant self-care education.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and interdisciplinary planning.
Ensure compliance with agency protocols, including reporting incidents and injuries.
Uphold strict confidentiality and privacy standards (HIPAA).
Requirements:
Ability to manage medical and behavioral situations calmly and effectively.
Physically capable of supporting participants and managing equipment.
Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles.
Flexibility for off-site visits and varied scheduling.
Must maintain up-to-date certifications and training.
Education & Qualifications:
Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
1–2 years of experience working with individuals with mental and/or physical challenges.
Knowledge of nursing best practices, regulatory standards, and agency policies.
Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and meet agency driving criteria.

Salary Range
USD $58.43 - USD $58.43 /Hr.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
