Maimonides is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for its Ambulatory Care division. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee daily outpatient primary care operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient patient flow.
  • Supervise nursing staff, lead team meetings, and coordinate staff education, training, and competency compliance.
  • Manage staffing plans, schedules, and recruitment processes to ensure adequate coverage and team performance.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical/operational metrics to drive process improvements and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate on budget planning, optimize resource use, and ensure fiscal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., DOH, Joint Commission) and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Promote a culture of learning, mentoring, and professional growth within the nursing team.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance outpatient service delivery, patient satisfaction, and evidence-based solutions.


We require:

  • Active NYS RN License.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in an outpatient or ambulatory primary care setting.
  • Experience working with both adult and pediatric patient populations.
  • Knowledge of Article 28 regulations, Joint Commission Standards, Value-Based Care, DOH regulations, and Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and solving clinical/operational problems.
  • Competency in EMR systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Commitment to team collaboration and high-quality patient care.
