Description

Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures and related tasks on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assists with departmental and hospital CQI activities. Performs other duties related to the Nuclear Medicine Department.

Requirements

  • Registered in Nuclear medicine by the AART or NMTCB or registry eligible.
  • Graduate of approved program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Average physical demands involve moving/transporting patients, lifting accessory equipment and pushing wheelchairs or stretchers.

Document the administration of medications on the resident’s medication administration record. Report any medication errors or reactions immediately to the charge nurse. Record and report observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when necessary. Accurately measure pulse and blood pressure, recognizing their significance in drug therapy. Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living as assigned, safely and consistently following FV policies and procedures. Document all completed tasks. Enhance resident safety by identifying hazards and emergencies and initiating corrective actions as appropriate. Ensure continuity of care by effectively communicating services provided and any changes in the resident's condition or family interactions promptly.
