Job Summary

This Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is assigned to the department of Melanoma Medical Oncology. In collaboration with the supervising physician and the administrative supervisor, the NP cares for patients receiving treatment for advanced dermatologic malignancies including melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma. The NP provides clinical guidance for patients receiving systemic therapy for genitourinary malignancies including management of treatment toxicities, management of oncologic emergencies, symptom management, care coordination, assistance with triage, and other duties as assigned.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with a master’s or doctoral degree aligned with the patient population and clinical role.
One (1) year of recent experience as a medical oncology APP or successful completion of a one-year comprehensive oncology APP fellowship program

Preferred Qualifications

Two (2) of more years oncology experience
Previous employment in a university medical center
Interest in teaching and clinical research
AOCNP Certification

License/Certification

California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position.
Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.
