Position Overview

As the RN  Supervisor, you will serve as a leader during the overnight shift, supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). You will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and provide guidance to nursing staff to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and evaluate nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, and CNAs).

  • Assist DON/ADON in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services.

  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations.

  • Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and Quality Assurance meetings.

  • Monitor and assess residents, providing interventions for changes in condition.

  • Oversee care planning, documentation, and MDS completion.

  • Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance and resident care.

  • Handle complaints, grievances, and incident investigations.

  • Support staffing decisions to ensure proper coverage and continuity of care.

  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years as a nursing supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related setting; at least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing practices.

  • Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of New Jersey.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
