Job Summary and Qualifications

Will utilize the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients in order to achieve quality outcomes and communicate need for guidance/supervision based on self-assessment of strengths and limitations. Promotes a positive image of nursing and promotes collegiality among healthcare team members. 

C.A.R.E Pool RNs are required to work the following: 

  • Hours per Pay Period: Tier IV (General RN): Minimum hours, weekend commitment, and demographic location determined by the group and POD in the HealthONE CARE pool Agreement.
  • Holiday Requirements: Tier IV (General RN) per diem: 1 Major or 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually. Tier IV benefited: 1 Major and 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually. 

Floating: 

  • HealthONE C.A.R.E Pool employees will be required to float to all HealthONE facilities within the chosen pod. C.A.R.E Pool Nurses will be scheduled in units in which they have competencies. C.A.R.E Pool Nurses can be placed in a unit below their competency level with a modified assignment.
  • Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics
Licensure/Certification/Registration: 
  • Tier IV (General RN) Compact RN license or Colorado RN license accepted upon hire, CO license required within 90 days of hire. 
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required at time of hire. 
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) can be obtained after hire.

Education: Graduate of a certified School of Nursing. BSN strongly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of at least two years of RN experience in acute care for Tier IV.
