Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessments to identify staff development priorities based on resident needs, regulatory requirements, and emerging best practices.
- Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based educational programs on a variety of clinical and non-clinical topics.
- Utilize diverse teaching methodologies (lectures, workshops, simulations) to cater to different learning styles.
- Develop and maintain training materials and resources for ongoing staff reference.
- Facilitate staff development activities to ensure competency and adherence to established standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to staff development.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as needed.
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in nursing education and development.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably long-term care.
- Experience in staff development, training, or education is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong instructional design and adult learning principles understanding.
- Ability to assess learning needs, develop curriculum, and deliver engaging training programs.
- Commitment to resident-centered care and a passion for staff growth.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
