Job Summary

Provides care and consultation for a specific patient population with alterations of wounds, the GI/GU systems, drains, pressure injuries and incontinence. Under the guidance of a certified wound care nurse and and/or a physician, implements and evaluates plans for care management based on patient needs through consultation and collaboration with other members of the patient's health care team; coordinates care in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
Assists with the education of patients, families and staff on evidence-based skin and wound care practices. Promotes health care in area of expertise, in the community, through education.
Identifies actual/potential issues of resource management /patient care, works with health care team to identify cost-effective alternatives; facilitates discharge
May perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties, as needed, after completing the required hyperbaric training.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education - Associate degree in Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience - Two (2) years as RN. Experience in skin and wound care. Wound Vac Experience preferred

Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working.
