ECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a campus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center – a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthing center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.

Position Summary

  • Assist in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. 
  • Participates in the assessment of patients. Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care. 
  • Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote and professional development. 
  • Develops leadership role within the LPN scope of practice. 
  • Participates in Service Excellence Program.

Minimum Requirements

  • LPN Diploma 
  • Active NC LPN License or compact state
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Exposure and practice of medication administration from educational preparation and student clinical practice.

  • This position is part-time nights (24hrs/week) with rotating weekends and holidays
