Nursing Attendant – Full Time Evening - Progressive Care Unit

Our recently opened Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 14 bed unit delivering exceptional intermediate care to vented patients. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

This is a Full Time Evening (36.25 hrs/wk; 3P - 11P) shift position at NYP/Queens Hospital. Every Weekend is required for the first 2 years of employment.

Required Criteria

2+ years of Nurse Attendant experience, Completion of a certified Nursing Attendant training program or presently enrolled in a Nursing School program.
BLS from AHA
HS Diploma/GED
Must be able to complete mandatory 2 week orientation Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM upon hire.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
