Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver high-quality, advanced clinical care within Indiana’s state-operated hospital system. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to manage complex patient needs, lead care teams, and play a key role in quality improvement within a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations (histories, physicals, etc.)
Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic studies and lab results
Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments
Lead nursing and interdisciplinary teams in clinical and educational initiatives
Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate patient transfers/referrals
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all clinical regulations
Mentor and educate patients, families, and healthcare team members

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP required)
Licensure:
- Active Indiana NP license
- DEA registration and Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
- Current CPR certification
Experience: 2+ years in acute care or hospital settings preferred
Technical Skills:
- Ability to interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic data
- EMR proficiency
- Prescriptive authority and care plan development
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team collaboration
- Strong critical thinking and crisis management skills
