About the Role:

The PT Nights STNA position at Wooster Community Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is crucial for providing high-quality patient care during night shifts. The primary goal of this role is to assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position requires a compassionate approach to care, as you will be working closely with patients who may have varying levels of mobility and health conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and monitor patient progress. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance the overall patient experience and support their recovery journey.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a skilled nursing facility.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
Help patients with mobility, including transferring and repositioning them safely.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during night hours.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.

The required skills for this position include effective communication, which is essential for interacting with patients and collaborating with healthcare team members. Compassion and empathy are vital as you provide care to patients who may be experiencing discomfort or distress.
