The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking self- motivated, energetic Licensed Practical Nurses who possess the skills, knowledge, and desire to care for Kentucky Veterans. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Preparing, administering and documenting medications.
Perform medical treatments.
Check vital signs.
Follow policies to ensure our residents are care for.
Document all required information.
Assist each resident with their needs.

We offer flexible scheduling, holiday, weekend and shift premiums, and the Veterans Affairs Nurse Loan Repayment Program.

***This position, in Hopkins county has an approved Locality Premium of $6.97 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).***

Working Conditions

Duties may involve close work with possibly hostile mental patients. May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and conditions which requires the following of safety procedures.
