POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible to plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical patients. Ensures patient care, safety standards , and documentation is carried out according to AORN standards, recommended practices and guidelines. Gives direction to: Surgical Technician, Instrument Technician, Materials Mgmt. Clerk. Receives direction from: Providers, Anesthesia providers, Nurse Manager.

EDUCATION:

Degree from an Accredited Nursing program

EXPERIENCE:

Previous O.R. experience, preferred

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

MT RN License
ACLS
PALS
CNOR desired

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures
Principles of Asepsis
Basic office skills - computer and keyboarding
