The Program Manager is wholly responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and day-to-day activities within his or her Wound Care and/or Hyperbaric treatment center(s) assigned to the individual and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high quality patient care and service through a blended hands-on and leadership by example approach. He or she is responsible for staff management, team building, budgeting, revenue cycle management, clinical operations, hospital partner interaction and retention, physician management, professional education/community referral development and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff Management and Team Building Duties
• Lead by example and model ideal behaviors while performing all duties and in interactions with staff and patients.
• Work in collaboration with RXH/hospital Partner Human Resources Department to conduct interviews for prospective staff and determine suitability for hire.
• Establish performance expectations, provide regular feedback, including completing performance appraisals, and consistently manage these expectations.
• Participate in continuing education meetings, committees or workgroups and identify needs, both managerially and clinically, and seed resources as needed.
• Coordinate or facilitate training and educational programs in collaboration with other support departments (facility Implementation Team, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, and Clinical Operations) including but not limited to orientation of new staff, mandatory requirements, developmental needs, and competencies training.
• Maintain and ensure all staff meet all compliance requirements including but not limited to RXH’s compliance plan, center-specific policies, and procedures, federal (Medicare) and state (Medicaid) programs, and Joint Commission.
• Comply with all the HIPAA Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and Procedures outlined in the “Privacy, Security and Confidentiality Agreement.”
• Administer and uphold all the Company’s values and policies and procedures.
• Continuously work towards the Company’s goal and vision.

Clinical Operations
• Be visible in wound clinic aligning supportive documentation for procedures (graft utilization, debridement) in conjunction with clinical staff.
• Collaborate with Medical Director and staff to develop, implement and manage RXH’s Performance Improvement Plan to improve Quality Outcomes.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and adjust staffing patterns and clinic flow to improve efficiencies and productivity in accordance with acuity levels.
• Complete in a timely manner all billing and utilization documentation requirements via EMR including registration, charge posting, and supporting medical documentation notes.
• Ensure appropriate compliance with Clinical Practice Pathways and initiates, modify and effect unit based changes in clinical practice to maximize patient outcomes.
• Review retrospectively monthly outcome report(s) and collaborate with RXH RD/Hospital Partner to identify improvement opportunities.
• Serve as an advisor and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and family to monitor patient and referring physician satisfaction.
• Responsible for preparing and submitting the quarterly safety survey, for reporting, investigating, and taking preventative measures for safety incidents and performing any other reporting required by the business.
• Authorize purchase of supplies and equipment in collaboration with supervisor.
• Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of nursing processes.
• Develops patient specific wound care plan and regularly reviews wound progress.
• Measures and photographs wound progress and provides updates to physician on an ongoing basis as changes occur.
• Assists providers and is present for specialized wound care procedures within the wound clinic.
• Follows up with lab and diagnosis results, communicates to provider and patient, and documents accurately in the medical record.
• Adhere to all local facility regulations, patient safety initiatives and infection control regulations.
• Adheres to RXH and host facility regulatory and accrediting standards policies/procedures.
• Establishes weekly contacts with the center’s administration and medical staff.
• Educates referral sources on RXH benefits, referral process, and clinic specific information • Establish and ensure compliance with all RXH policies and procedures in cooperation with the hospital.
• Attends and conducts local medical community functions, such as conventions and in-service training.
• Completes strategic marketing plans and completes local onsite marketing strategies timely in addition to virtual marketing strategies
• Actively participates in all Quality Management measures (i.e., survey preparation, documentation, audits, patient satisfaction survey completion, and hygiene observations.
• Facilitates coordination of care.
• Ensures completion of the pre-and post-clinic checklist tasks.
• Provides ongoing patient education relevant to disease processes, mediations, nutrition, vitamin therapy, and pressure reduction.
• Ensures accuracy, legibility, and completion of all staff documentation and adheres to daily chart check and correction policy.
Administration and Performance Management
• Prepare, establish, and manage salary, supplies, equipment and material budgets and financial performance objectives, in coordination with RXH Regional Director.
• Manage and/or coordinate all aspects of the revenue cycle including registration, scheduling, hyperbaric conversion, treatment authorization, documentation, coding, charge entry, billing, collections, and denial processes.
• Maximize monthly program utilization by controlling external barriers including scheduling constraints, scope of supervision coverage, medical clearances, compliance, and chamber maintenance.
• Implement audit and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy. Regularly review the Charge Description Master and Superbill to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
• Conduct chart audits to monitor and ensure documentation meets regulatory and billing requirements. Stay current with reimbursement changes, providing physician and staff updates and education as needed.
• Review and analyze key financial reports, identify key indicator trends, and develop plans to ensure best practices are implemented to appropriately maximize clinic and overall program profitability and/or address variances. Partner Relationship Management (partner hospital, participating physicians, referral sources)
• Interface and collaborate with hospital and RXH staff and management and uphold hospital partner reporting and operating requirements.
• Problem solve and troubleshoot issues between the center and its physicians and hospital partners.
• Work effectively with case managers and other disciplines to assist in the planning and implantation of strategies to improve performance and outcomes.
• Facilitate and/or conduct individual and group educational presentations to the various referral sources and general community.
• Track and report all inpatient, outpatient, outreach, HBO, and ancillary revenues generated by the program. Work with Regional Director to complete a quarterly financial review and present results to hospital leadership.
EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an ambulatory or equivalent setting. • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, preferred.
• Registered Nurse Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Holding current license with appropriate State Board of Nursing without restriction. Maintains full knowledge and works within their scope of practice
• Training and Experience - Preferred wound care clinic experience, graduated from an accredited nursing program and holds an active license in the state(s) working in.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of evidence based wound healing standards and demonstrates expertise regarding wound etiology assessment, wound bed preparation, and related wound management strategies. Demonstrates proficiency to assess patients’ wound care needs and assists to formulate individual wound management plans. Must be knowledgeable of the policies and procedures governing RestorixHealth.

• Experience in medical sales, process management, leadership, marketing, and referral source generation preferred.
• Must have intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, be technologically savvy and comfortable learning and teaching new applications.
• Possesses and maintains current BLS from the American Heart Association. Must have and maintain a valid ACLS certification through the American heart Association if the hospital requires it.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have full range of body motion, be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., and can stand, sit, walk, bend, lean, and squat for long periods of time with hindrance. • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
• Must be able to speak and hear clearly.
• Must be able to maintain dexterity when pulling, pushing, and gripping emergency carts and stretchers.
