North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association (NCHCFA) Summer Symposium

Join us in person in Myrtle Beach, SC for the 11th Annual North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association (NCHCFA) Summer Symposium. This is a 3 day event that runs from August 3-5, 2022! This event will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort. 

NC Nursing Home Administrators can earn up to 11 hours of continuing education at an affordable rate. Employees of a member/nonmember facility may ONLY register with the Full Summer Symposium Package. An employee of a facility MAY NOT register as a 2022 Guest. The Full Summer Symposium Package includes admission to all NCHCFA educational sessions and social events. The Symposium Guest Package is intended for an attendee’s spouse/family member/friend that is NOT an employee of a facility. This package includes social events only. The 2022 Trade Associate Member Package is intended for 2022 Trade Associate Members ONLY and includes all social events only. If you are a 2022 Trade Associate Member and would like to attend the education sessions, please register for the Full Symposium Package.

NC Nursing Home Administrators can earn up to 11.0 hours of continuing education for all educational sessions. The North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association is a Registered Sponsor of continuing education with the NC State Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators. Attendees will be able to download a certificate of completion for all hours earned through the NCHCFA website after the event.

This program has been approved for continuing education up to 11.0 total clock hours by the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards/National Continuing Education Review Service (NAB/NCERS).

The North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association (NCHCFA) represents and supports nearly 400 member facilities providing quality care to residents of skilled nursing facilities (including long term care and nursing home facilities) in North Carolina. Their association was formed in 1955 and remains the state’s oldest and largest association dedicated to advancing the skilled nursing profession.

NCHCFA is committed to promoting quality health care to the residents served by their member facilities, while pioneering growth, development and innovation in skilled nursing benefits in North Carolina. They provide an array of services to our members, including a weekly newsletter, guidance with state and federal rules and regulatory issues, data gathering and analysis, relevant legislative affairs, Medicare and Medicaid policy, continuing education opportunities, and a communications network devoted to the most current developments in long term care. As a professional trade association, NCHCFA and its partners also work closely with state and federal agencies governing skilled nursing facility operations.

NCHCFA is also a member of the American Health Care Association (AHCA), the nation’s largest organization representing long term care providers. Their staff and member volunteers participate in various AHCA activities and serve on many of its policy making and governance committees.

NCHCFA and AHCA share a common goal of presenting a unified voice before state and federal agencies, the North Carolina General Assembly, and Congress. They foster member involvement through working committees composed of experienced long term care providers. All members are invited to join one of their standing committees and take part in determining the direction and goals for the Association.
