Mass Senior Care Association (MSCA) Spring Conference & Trade Show
The Mass Senior Care Association (MSCA) Spring Conference & Trade Show is the first in-person Spring Conference & Trade Show in more than two years. It will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the DCU Center in Worcester. Due to the continued uncertainties of the COVID-19 virus, they are scaling back on the number of exhibitors and attendees to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all attendees. All attendees will be required to wear face masks and to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This year’s Spring Conference & Trade Show will be limited to 50 sponsors and exhibitors and there’s will be an anticipated 200 long term care professionals including owners, corporate staff, Administrators, DNS, department heads and staff from all areas of facility operations.
The Massachusetts Senior Care Association represents a diverse set of organizations that deliver a broad spectrum of services to meet the needs of older adults and people with disabilities. Their members include nearly 400 nursing and rehabilitation facilities, assisted living residences, residential care facilities and continuing care retirement communities. Forming a crucial link in the continuum of care, Mass Senior Care facilities provide housing, health care and support services to more than 100,000 people a year; employ more than 45,000 staff members; and contribute more than $4 billion annually to the Massachusetts economy. Since its founding in 1949, Mass Senior Care’s mission has been to improve the quality and delivery of long term care services in Massachusetts through research, education and advocacy.
To fulfill its mission, the association: Provides advocacy on legislative, regulatory and financing issues affecting care providers, residents, and consumers, collects and analyzes data relating to the delivery and financing of senior care services, develops and sponsors quality improvement and continuing education programs for facility staff, provides information and referral services to consumers, and educates the public and policymakers about issues relating to the care of older adults and individuals with disabilities. A nonprofit organization, Mass Senior Care is supported by member dues and governed by a board of directors elected by the membership.
